Guest guest
Great news, a! Thanks for sharing!! > > Hey everyone! I wanted to post the results from my endoscopy today. Some positive news to post for the newbies out there...Short story, I had my surgery 5 years ago this past November. I am doing pretty good. Still drink alot of water with meals and have to rely on gravity to get all the food down, but it doesn't slow me down one bit! It's been 3 years since my last endoscopy. I had a scary moment a few weeks ago where I couldn't get water to go down. Doc thinks it was residual food left over from the day before. I guess I didn't do a good job with dinner the night before. Sometimes I get too confident in what I can eat, and therefore have big issues getting the food to go down. > > Now, the notes from the doctor... > -Esophagus with decreased to absent motility consistent with achalasia. This was dilated. > -An anti-reflux surgical site was found. No changes, no reflux noted > -Normal stomach > -Normal examined duodenum > -Decreased motility of entire UGI tract noted, no lesions seen. > > Hope all is well with you all! > a in St. Louis >
