Guest guest
, Yes, the pain is at her sternum. She had surgery a little more then 8 months ago. This morning I asked to describe the pain she was in today and she said that it was like some one stabbed her and was slowly pushing it in. I am sorry she is twelve and finds it hard to describe. I would imagine it is very possible she is having spasms that is what I have been calling them since they have been debilitating for her. I have wondered if maybe she is simply doing to much and have asked to her calm down play less if you will but it doesn't seem to matter much. She can't afford to miss any more school and so unfortunately we are forced to send her on hoping she can manage. I will also ask her when she get home if the it radiates toward the back or not. Thank you Shamira. ________________________________ From: zlmmom1 <mcnairmichelle@...> achalasia Sent: Mon, April 25, 2011 7:40:27 AM Subject: Re: Constant and twisting pain Shamira - it is possible that she's having spasms? it's very common to have them increase after surgery. Is the pain at her sternum? going through her back? she had a thoracotomy? that can be painful for quite a while - does a heating pad at the site help? is it at all related to her swallowing? I'm not sure if any of this helps but if we can get a better description of her pain - maybe we can help. How long ago was her surgery? I'm so sorry she is going through this and that you have to see it... it's so awful when your children are in pain. Please keep us posted. ~ in NC > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > Taniea has been having pain still at her incision site (thoracic surgery) > > and I asked her to describe the pain.
