Guest guest
It is still early. I'm guessing you are slender anyway, and maybe don't have that little food voice nagging you to eat as much as the rest of us. Maybe mix in that protein powder in some drinks? I've " heard " the wrap can lessen the food urge, much like stomach stapling or the weight loss surgeries. You might consider following any good diet plan, even like weight watchers, but add calories. I'm guessing you just aren't eating enough calories to gain weight, but don't realize it. Same as those of us that are overweight. We don't realize how much we are eating. If you are genetically inclined to be slender, it could just be the combination of surgery and the wrap. (you had a myotomy didn't you, not the removal.) (is the . before the ) or after???) Anesthesia stays in your body for a long time, and might be suppressing your appetite. How do you feel otherwise? Maybe you feel more energetic and are doing more, eating up calories? My instincts are that it is just calories in and out and you need more calories, so have to spur your hunger button. I can send you some of my weight? I wish. Sandy > > Hi Group, > > I had my surgery on Dec 2. When I went in I weighed 148. Guest guest
Dear Jerry,  I had my myotomy in May 2006, and during my hospital stay I lost 9lbs. It took quite a while to start gaining weight afterwards, because the amount that you eat is probably only just getting you by, calorie-wise. My advice is to give it 2 months and by that time, you should see the pounds creeping on. Then in about 2 or 3 years, you will be writing to us complaining that you now have to watch your weight for the opposite reason.  I reckon it took about 3 years for my metabolism to fully stabilise. Nowadays I stay at the same weight continuously - a good and normal one.  All the best for the future Jerry. Take things easy and be kind to yourself. From Ann. After I weigh 138. I'm eating really well but I haven't gained any weight over 3 weeks ( I haven't lost weight either ).  Any advice would be helpful as to diet to gain weight & or when weight will start to come back.  Have a Happy New Year,   Jerry
