Guest guest
Hello, I just recently had the Heller myotomy (Dec.2) at Providence St. phs Hospital in Burbank,CA. The surgeon's name is Dr. e Quilici. He is associated with Cedars Esophageal Motility Clinic. I would like to hear about post-op experiences from others who have had the myotomy/stomach wrap. I am interested in knowing what the timetable is for eating solid foods and what level of " normalcy " of eating you have attained. I am also experiencing some pains in the chest area that radiates up into my neck and jaw area sometimes all the way into my Eustachian canals. It feels like what I would imagine angina to feel like. Usually a cold drink of water makes it dissipate. I had a complete cardio workup last year with no problems present but both of the physicians I have seen since the operation recommend I see my cardiologist again on account of the pain. Has any one else experienced symptoms of this kind? Look forward to hearing from fellow myotomy patients about your experiences. Thank you.
