Dear Lorna,

If you do not have the option of going to another surgeon, it seems to me that

your only choice then is to lose that weight. I am not being unsympathetic, far

from it. The majority of us have been through that time, short or long, when it

was much easier to eat the junk stuff. I used to eat a lot of crisps and

chocolate etc. The difference though, was that I was not too overweight for

surgery to be a danger.

What I suggest is that you attempt to live on those meal-replacement drinks.

They contain all the vitamins and minerals that you need and you can sip them

throughout the day in order that your oesophagus does not get too filled up.

Do you think that this would be a possible solution?

Best Wishes from Ann
