On your making it so easy to proceed, I decided to go ahead and do the survey

(typical for me being distracted when there are other more pressing matters that

I have to get done).

Anyway, I got as far as question #28, and apparently they did not believe my

answer and would not go forward with the survey. The question related to

environmental conditions that existed prior to my having achalasia.  It asked

about my cell phone use and I answered " never " since in 1981 there were no cell

phones. Well, I answered and the " software " kept repeating the question and I

was not going to change my answer to " seldom " or anything else, not knowing what

would happen.

So, they lost me.

The link to go directly to the beginning of the survey, without having to go

through all the German menu items, is:

http://www.achalasie-selbsthilfe.de/index.php?option=com_content & view=article & id\

=70 & Itemid=87

Note that both Achalasians and non-Achalasians are needed for this study, so if

you have family and friends that can also participate, that would also help. On

the page linked above, you choose whether you are taking the Achalasian or

non-Achalasian survey.

I was able to email the author and express my concerns.

I then went to answer, on behalf of my wife, the control group questions.  I

got stopped at question #31, when it asked how long (my wife) has been using the

computer (never).  There was no option for 0 years.  The next question asked

for hours per day of computer use. Again, no option for 0. So, again an email to

the author.  There were also some odd questions, having to do with eating boar

after the Chernobyl accident.  I don't know if its me, or being in the U.S. but

I don't seem to be doing well with surveys.
