People Court episode: Dog w/ megaesophagus

Did any of you see " People Court " this week with the part about the dog with

mega esophagus? A lady bought a dog from a breeder, and the dog couldn't eat

after a few months. She had x-rays, you could see some barium, mostly in the

stomach. But she showed where the esophagus was all stretched and had pouches

and even pointed out how narrow it got, closer to the stomach. She only called

it mega esophagus. They were suing the breeder for genetic defects, had paid

$3500 for the dog. They talked about the rotting food and the dog vomiting the

rotten food. They rigged up a support mechanism to keep the dog upright to feed

him, but it didn't work. They lost the case, even though the breeder turned out

to be selling a friend's dogs, not her own. They lost because it was after the

90 day rule for a lemon dog. They euthanized the dog.

Very sad.
