Guest guest
Hi everyone, it's been a while since I visited the site but would like to ask for some info. I'm in the UK and had my Heller's almost 3 years ago. I saw my GI doctor last week who informed me that my recent manometry once again showed a high pressure at the LOS (plus the obligatory aperistalsis!) and he recommends a repeat myotomy. (My diet is atrocious as I can only swallow rubbish, no real food and terrible chest pain). My first surgery was open (laparotomy) so I am curious as to how they do it next time - same area? Also what success rate comes with a 2nd myotomy? Any info gratefully received. Thanks. Carol.
