Guest guest
Hi Ann He listed it and Botox as possible options but added that he did not recommend either of these. Feels that dilatation too risky (perforation) and too young (ha) for Botox. He feels that surgery is the best way forward.Thanks. I'm in the UK and had my Heller's almost 3 years ago. I saw my GI doctor last week who informed me that my recent manometry once again showed a high pressure at the LOS (plus the obligatory aperistalsis!) and he recommends a repeat myotomy. (My diet is atrocious as I can only swallow rubbish, no real food and terrible chest pain). My first surgery was open (laparotomy) so I am curious as to how they do it next time - same area? Also what success rate comes with a 2nd myotomy? Any info gratefully received. Thanks. Carol. > > > > > > > > > > > >
