Guest guest
I haven't heard of an esophagus bouncing back. I envision it like stretched out pantyhose, if you are that old. You may be able to halt the stretching with treatment. That vision is why I turned almost compulsive about regurging. If it didn't go down, then I brought it right back up. But I think I obsessed about it, more than others. How does one get your E back in shpae??? >

You probably won't get your esophagus back to like new, but hopefully you will improve on the current condition. You most likely have some nerve damage that will not be fixed. Some will argue that point. So, the idea with treatment is to open up the connection between the esophagus and stomach so that food and drinks trying to get through don't do anymore damage and the structure of the esophagus has a chance to recover some, but likely not completely. notan
