Guest guest
Diagnosed in 2008, had balloon and botox in july 2008. it worked great until may 2010 when dr. namihas (here in redding) decided I need a EGD and a biopsyto see if the barretts dysphasia was cancer free. after the EGD the work done in 2008 ''came down/crashed/was undone''so namihas did a second EGD a month later.a waste of time.he prescribed HYO-MAX (hyoscyamine) and said i should go back to the doctors at UC as he has limits as to what he is allowed to do. BASICALLY-HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WEARING HIP WADERS INSTEAD OF KNEE HIGHS----MEANING HE WAS EITHER IN OVER HIS HEAD OR UNDER-TRAINED. It has taken several months to get the appointments, radiology tests, and feb7th I have more tests and a pre-op for surgery on the 9th. Guest guest
Thanks Kay We saw Mr Maynard couple of weeks ago. I know him as a professional since when I was working in Radcliffe . He is a very good surgeon. Can you tell me when did you have your surgery and how is it going? I am asking because the procedure he does is slightly different to what most surgeons do so I am a bit concerned about the reflux problems although he has reassured us that in his hands it is not a major issue. Guest guest
Im another one of Mr Maynards patients went to see him at the Churchill hospital in Oxford a couple of weeks ago, for a follow up after a barium x ray. Nearly 5 years on after my open Myotomy the x ray shows that things are still pretty good. Will see him again in six months time.
