Guest guest
This is how my A started at age 75. I had GERD in the middle of the night, for several years. I BELIEVE the acid burnt the LES and caused MY Achalasia. That is MY belief. Some studies also suggest this as a problem, maybe 7% acording to notan. Will see if I can find the old references. After this had two 16 mm dilations in the E but not in the LES, which caused me to regurgitate all the time. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31749_162-20044202-10391698.html According to USA Today, Philbin, 79, has been suffering from an acid reflex-type of stomach problem for months. He said that he would drink barium and then have an X-ray or MRI. When " Live " executive Gelman asked if the show could film the procedure, Philbin said, " No. " Also he was going in for a dilation. Wonder if he has Achalasia? Wonder if we could contact him and give him some advise. Ray CA OC
