Guest guest
Hi All Well went to see surgeon in Liverpool again yesterday after requesting an earlier appointment. He told me that i need another endoscopy and dilatation pronto in the next 2 weeks. That last one where the baloon burst didn't work in their opinion and needs to be repeated. As soon as i get a date for that i am to ring the surgeon's office and ask his secretary to arrange an urgent appointment to see him again for a chat ASAP after the dilatation to discuss the possability of an operation to either destroy the scar tissue where the stricture is or perform a myotomy. Now i wasn't expecting him to come out with that. So i am looking at aother dilatation because apparently the burst baloon didn't inflate long enough before bursting the last time. The surgeon also warned me that the endoscopist specialist may not be able to dilate the stricture and if this is so then an operation is a must as the stricture is less than 20cm. Sorry for wafling on. from the UK
