Guest guest
http://spacedoc.net/ I realize that not of us was on a statin when symptoms developed. My Primary had just upped my dosage from 40mg to 80mg shortly before I developed symptoms. I asked him about it since the esophagus is a muscle and he said NO that wouldn't have caused it. I have been off Lipitor for awhile now and haven't started taking it again since myotomy. I see my Primary at the end of the month and I know he is going to insist that I start taking it. I have to take it at night and don't want it laying in my esophagus or stomach. I have been getting a newsletter for sometime now from Spacedoc.net and on the forum there are a few people that experience problems with swallowing/esophagus from statins. Since being off Lipitor my thyroid function has even improved. I know none of you can guide me. I don't want my primary kicking me out, but I don't want to take them. At this point in my life having two rare conditions it comes down to quality of life not quantity. Donna Hall
