Guest guest
Hi, I haven't posted much recently, but still keep up with most of what goes on here. I was diagnosed with A in July of 2003 and had myotomy in September. Since then I have had 2 dilations. Right now, I am much better than before surgery, but still having issues. Sometimes I go a week or more not being able to get much down, then everything will be ok for several weeks. I experience 'spasms' on a regular basis, sometimes up to 3 or 4 times a week. I have found that for me, ice cold water usually takes the most intense pain away. And for those times when water doesn't work I always have a supply of Levsin on hand. It takes about 20 minutes for the Levsin to start taking the pain level down, but has never failed to work for me. Overall, I am very satisfied with the results of the myotomy. mike in WI
