Guest guest
awwwww thats ok Kim....next time for sure I'll be staying away from the cranberrys...I've got too much soap left to make and not enough time to mess around with experimenting. If I can get 6 more batches in between now and Sunday night I'll feel good about my inventory for this craft show. If I really push it I would feel better with 8 more batches. Guest guest
I think the fragrance I really hated was the banana from Brambelberry. To me it didn't smell anything like bananas. It was a strong smell. I tried adding some strawberry with it, but the banana smell just took over. I also hated the key lime from Bear country. I only got 2 oz. so I don't feel bad, but the Banana had such a luscious description that I bought a big bottle. Well maybe someone will like it and I can use it up. I know we should just get the 1oz. bottles to try, and that was one thing I liked about Bear Country, they had a group of 1/2 you could buy for $22. There were several I didn't like, but some were great. We all have different tasts, and I should just go and use them because there will be someone that just loves them. Guest guest
is just recalculating all I have to do. I thought because I was adding another hard oil I would have to subtract some of the crisco. Maybe an oz. or so doesn't really make that much difference. Am I right about this? Kathy
Guest guest
You'll just end up with a slightly larger batch size, you can cut back on the other oils if you want, and then recalculate Alabu, Inc. Guest guest
Thanks Kim, I understand now. I don't have to have a certain size batch, I just didn't want to have too much of a certain type of oil/. Kathy
Guest guest
HI Kathy, If you want to keep the recipe a certain size , Say one pound so it fits into a special mold you have . You would take out the extra oil or crisco so the amount would stays the same 16oz of oils .. Always go to the lye cal and make sure you have the right amount of lye . Each oil needs different amounts of lye to change it over into soap If I had a recipe of 16 of Cocoa Butter the lye would be different than if I made a 16oz of olive oil soap good luck !Have a fun day! So the phonic has helped a lot......She is starting to like to read... .... It Was a big problem last year ..She would cry when we tried to get her to read.... The science book is very is boring .. So next year we will be trying other books ... Tell me about the Learn at Home books you have. I was in a hurry when I Picked out A-Beka and I was very afraid of missing something she need to learn .. Now I have more confidants. The Museum sounds fun. We have a group we meet with on Thursdays that we do gym ,art and Music with. We also have a once a month meeting for the parents so we can talk and ask questions. I have not made any soap in months , But I have been thinking of some things to make... And pretty soon I will think about planting some flowers ... Well I have babbled on long enough .... have a great Sunday night... We are doing second grade also. We started with A Beka, didn't like it at all, so now we are using "Learn at Home" and supplement it with other things. We have a local museum that offers free art class to homes students, and we try to make that each week. It is incentive for my son to get his work completed. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here Our Message Board http://www.voy.com/21568/ Check out these great Molds!! http://soapwerks.com/martinworld.htm Member Kae's Site... Guest guest
Kim Are you trying to say your boobs are down to your knees? Wow!! You go, girl!! Broken Heart Well, here's one problem I'LL NEVER have to worry about. :>) Aging Mildred was a 93-year-old woman who was getting more and more despondent over the recent death of her husband, Earl. She decided that she would just kill herself and join him in death. Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out Earl's old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the heart, since it was so badly broken anyway. Not wanting to miss the vital organ and become a vegetable and burden someone, she called her doctor's office to inquire as to just exactly where the heart would be on a woman. The doctor said, "Your heart would be just below your left breast." Later that night, Mildred was admitted to the local hospital with a gunshot wound to her knee. Guest guest
Yup, I stay away from the co-ops now, too. Ever since I never rec'd an order I had placed with someone. But I didn't feel this was anything like a co-op. She's supposed to have a business and since she was a member of the egroup I felt safe in ordering. Live and learn, huh? Re: problem with someone I ordered from ,mysticwindscents@... is on these lists that I know of: SellYourSoap,Discount-Soap-Supplies, Soapnuts, SoapPot, 1TLCSoaps, A-Soapers-Best-Buys,A_Soapmakers_List, BathStuff, In-Toiletries Soap-Co-op-Problems andTradingbubbles. If I were you I'd definitely notify Becky from Soapnuts ifyou are on that list with her. Becky does try to take action if the personposted on her list and she doesn't take things like this lightly.I also saw the whole ruckus that stirred up when someone complainedthat they hadn't received their goods. The customer said she did end upgetting her supplies but it was well after it was said to have been shipped.I personally haven't bought anything from her but after all that I doubt Iever would.Good Luck! Guest guest
Linet, My meals are the hardest part for me but have recently discovered ways to like cottage cheese so that helps tremendously. Usually I have things like a protein shake with skim milk for breakfast (+ Udo's), next is cottage cheese with something like strawberries or sometimes on toast or a MRB if I'm out, turkey/chicken/or tuna for lunch (this really varies), maybe yogurt with protein powder for next one, dinner is usually chicken and a small baked potato (and veggies), and then I probably too often have protein pudding for my last meal. I'm really very bland as I'm not into cooking at all so everything has to be really simple for me or I won't do it. As for my weights, well I'm finding lately that I don't think I'm pushing quite hard enough - I'm rarely sore the next day or two, but at the time it always feels like I couldn't do any more, at least not with good form... For quads I do squats lately and am up to about 50 kg (+45 lb bar), extensions I've made it to 50 lb, hamstrings have lately been lying curls and machine lunges, and I think I'm up to about 50 lb on the curls before starting to lose good form, and calves depends on the exercise but seated I just went up to 30 kg and standing for the last set 100 lb. As for upper body, with db the highest I've gone with anything has been 25 (per db) for chest. I'm just getting the hang of not fearing dropping them. I can't seem to get past 15 lb dbs for biceps though. Shoulders are always a killer too, with db I've made it to 20 lb (each) doing db presses. These numbers are of course my set of six reps, and sometimes they end up also being the next set of 12 if I'm kind of in between moving up weights (like biceps - I can't do 20 for the set of six yet so I end up doing 15s for both the 6 and 12 set). Hope this is what you were looking for. How about you - where are you at? I hate to compare, yet at the same time it kind of makes me feel better knowing what other people do, just so I know if I seem completely off or not. I'm also pretty comfortable now with putting just about any clothes on - which was one of my BFL goals, so I'm pretty pleased about that. I'm in a six too, which was also my goal but now I've changed that and we'll just see what happens. Come to think of it, I should be pretty happy as I've met just about all my goals already except for fat loss/muscle gain but those were kind of guesses as I didn't know what to expect. I hadn't really thought about the fact that I've done that *well* in terms of goals. You take care as well! Kim Kim Hello Kim i know exactlly what you mean. I just completed week 8 today i did cardio my freeday will be tommorrow. I will try to control myself eventhough i do. I also feel like time has flyed by and now that my pictures are going to look gross and yucky at 12 i do not know if you official entered the challenge but i have to put fire under my buns. Well i have learned to accept the back fat and wait it out because they say where you put the weight first is where it last comes off so you know that i really pack my pounds on the back and sides and they look the same to me. Hubby tells me that i look tiny and feel tiny too i do not see it but other people see it. My arms i am very happy with my arms and back but chest nothing really happening there but yet i am not into the chest thing right now i am more focus on the appearance of the body in the 12 pictures. I have no other pictures to show for it i never took a 4 week or a 8 week because i did not want to get negative i will do the over all 12 week one and send it in but after this i will be doing another challenge and after that another i love this lifestyle i feel so much better. I am not scared to put my clothes on i am down to size 6 so that is pretty small and weighing in at about 134 with the body fat of about 18 or 17% so i will see how everything turns out. What do your meals look like? How heavy are you lifting? I did some cardio but i also did threw in some arm strength training to buff it up alittle because i will have about 2 day rest inbetween freeday and lower body for the next two days. Well take care and good luck also. Linet
Guest guest
Thanks Tricia...the last time I spoke with Dr. Cush, which was a couple months after my first visit, be recommended adding remicade to my mix. My local doctor didn't want another doctor making recommendations so he wouldn't add it. I'm glad to be out of that situation. I called the manufactures of REMICADE to ask a few questions yesterday and it seems to help many RA patients. Something interesting was that the lady told me that the FDA has not approved REMICADE for Still's Disease. I was shocked because I know many in the group use it and are quite happy?!? Anyway....I'll let you know how my visit goes and what Dr. Cush has to say. I'm really glad my mother lives in Dallas so I'll have a place to stay on my visits. And some comfort as well Love and Hugs, Kim TLC <wega2@...> wrote: Dear Kim, So sorry to read of your fall!! *ouch!* I am very happy however, to read that you will be seeing Dr. Cush.
