Guest guest
Is anyone doing regular follow-ups after a myotomy. I had surgery in 2008, went back to surgeon after about 1 1/2 for follow-up, everything was ok. Since the surgery, have had no complications, everything is fine. Is there any benefit to going back to Dr's for periodic check-ups as long as there are no symptoms? What is everyone else doing?
Guest guest
If I where you I will still continue with periodic check-ups even without symptoms. With A you'll never know what will be the next " IF or WHAT next. " This is a traitor disease just like heart attacks one day you are fine the next day can be HELL... So always follow docs advise of periodic checks... ________________________________ From: tunisrx <raphael.tunis@...> achalasia Sent: Mon, March 14, 2011 7:30:51 AM Subject: follow-up after myotomy  Is anyone doing regular follow-ups after a myotomy. Guest guest
That's an interesting question. Many people have been advised to go for regular check-ups. However, after I had my successful myotomy in May 2006, the advice that I received was that investigations to do a check carry their own risk and if I had no symptoms, to carry on without any intervention.
