Guest guest
welcome to our group!! I am so glad that Jeff is doing well. I had an ectomy almost 3 years ago and while the first few months were tough - WOO HOO!! I don't have spasms anymore and I have far fewer accommodations to make than I used to. You are doing so well just being with him and supporting him. When I had my ectomy, my husband and I were in Pittsburgh for almost 3 weeks (complications) and it was truly the little things when we got home - he did more dishes, taking care of the kids and just letting me rest. By 2-3 weeks out, I was fine staying home alone - I just needed rest - no help with dressing or day to day stuff. I don't know what else to say - he'll tell you what he needs and within 2-3 months he should be feeling HUGELY better. Set a date for New Years - it may very well be his best yet. Please send Jeff our thoughts and prayers - glad to hear from you and let us know if we can do anything more. ~ in NC achalasia free since Jan. 2008
