Guest guest
Wow I guess I am not in this group. I have not been drinking much lately but I cannot really say I feel the effect the same day. If I feel bad the next day I can just as easily attribute it to over doing it in general. Do you feel extra drunk if you drink or just extra tired? Guest guest
Steve, For me ETOH really interferes with sleep, and the next day is a disaster! Before CFS, I could drink several drinks with no ill effect. Ah, the good old days. Haven't had any alcohol for several years. :-(
Guest guest
From: Dr. Steve [mailto:moores@...] Do you feel extra drunk if you drink or just extra tired? Steve [Patti:] Now a few sips feels about equal to 3 gin and tonics from the old days. Later I get really tired. Sleep not restful. Next day more fibro pain, body aches, brain fog, sluggishness, etc. I don't touch alcohol now except for a few special occasions, and even then its just a few sips. > From: Dr. Steve [mailto:moores@...] > > Do folk with an alcohol intolerance feel the effect immediately, shortly > thereafter, or the next day? > > [Patti: ] Immediately, shortly thereafter, AND the next day >
Guest guest
Even the smell of alcohol is intolerable to me. Just the smallest amount causes a woozy feeling in the head, and within a few minutes a profound loss of energy. If I drank any amount, I think I would collapse. The only exposure I have to alcohol, therefore, is in herbal tinctures which I put in hot water to evaporate off the alcohol. I set the cup near a window so the alcohol goes out because even the amount in the air is a problem for me. Fortunately I never had a taste for alcohol so I don't miss it. jo
Guest guest
I was always allergic or intolerant of most fire water, especially if I accidently ate certain marinades..... the combination was shoulder aches or rashes.....prior to CFS After the onset of CFS at the end of the day, dinner and chores..... helped but then mnths later noticed waking up with feeling awful hangover feeling ,I am sure, just became real intolerant now even minutes after consuming. With me the sugar , yeast etc. probably had something to do with it. prior was into choc. coffee, cookies etc. Now knowing the toxic way we are and thick blood theory, low blood volume. PS:yrs back in a chat or list met a man that wouldn't take drugs but found white russians every night helped him, most of us gaged but maybe he was the first to get benefit from whey... Guest guest
> Wow sugar caffine and alcohol all together what a night cap. Over the holidays I was drinking Myers spiced rum with vanella soy milk -- very tasty. I am on the wagon right now but I do not think > alcohol is that bad. However drink to excess does impact one's sleep pattern cheers Steve PS My definition of an alcoholic -- someone that drinks more than me.LOL > > > PS:yrs back in a chat or list met a man that wouldn't take drugs but found > white russians every night helped him, most of us gaged but maybe he was the > first to get benefit from whey... > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > LOW RATE, NO WAIT! > Get a NextCard Visa, in 30 seconds!
