,

In answer to your question the EnZymAid formulation does not contain

Sucrase. The formulation that does contain this specific enzyme is a called

EnZym-Complete, which is a broad spectrum digestive enzyme containing

Sucrase (also known as Invertase). Although the dosing is appropriate to

address the breakdown of sucrase disaccharides (beet and cane sugar known as

invert sugar) in the general diet it appears that your child will probably

require a higher more therapeutic dose. I will check with Mark Brudnak,

Ph.D. who formulated this enzyme complex and see if he has some information

that will be of help to you. I don't believe that the EnZymAid will be

contraindicated with the Sucraid because it provides different enzymes,

although you might check with you clinician.

Here are a few links on a quick review of Sucraid and CSID, if anyone

is interested. , hope this isn't too serious for your wife. It

seems to be a very rare condition. EnzymAid does not list sucrase on

their label. Devin will need to comment if HNI products will help

this. .

isomaltase deficiency (CSID). The symptoms of this condition match

very well with what Ethan has been going through.... chronic

diarrhea, gas, bloating, and failure to thrive (has stayed at same

weight for about a year).

I have found a product (Sucraid) that is approved by the FDA for

treatment of this condition... but we are about to start Enzymaid and

I was curious if it would help.
