Guest guest
ny I think that I am the only one on this site who has not tried it. And I am about ready to take the plunge. I have been doing OLE and TF with no great results & I have tried two whey product before but since every one is so hot on immunopro I might as well give it a try. Guest guest
Nope .... but I have already order it (we has a case of Imuplus arrive just before the announcement...) planning to take both concurrently when it arrives. .... Steve, may I suggest that you minimize your other drugs/supplements when you try it.... for antibiotics etc... many things (sleep medications, antidepressions) seem to surpress its action, and that may also apply to the whey products.... Guest guest
.... the simplest mechanicism that I have seen suggested (and thus because I love simplicity), and my favorite: "it has been demonstrated that that mycoplasma can induce increased cytokine levels when infected in white blood cells, and can allow dormant viral infections to activate and replicate at abnormal levels." Bill Paspaliaris http://www.ahmf.org/Conf99_2.htm One set of CFIDS appears to by infection caused hypercoagulation (i.e. Berg, Rickettsia MDs), another set may be by infection caused viral reactivation. In both cases the family of infections appear to the same group (like the family of common cold virii): rickettsoa, mycoplasma, lyme, etc... The thing about Bill's comment that I read "between the lines" is that the effect may occur with a very low level of infection (and thus even PCR may not detect it reliably) for those with the appropriate genetic predisposition (just like like have a predisposition to not dissolve fibrin - which cascades CFIDS). Cheney's research suggests that whey is effective against many of these infections (CWD) which could account for the de-activation of the HHV6 that he also saw... Again, I'm not stating that this is the way it is, simply that this is a model that would explain things -- and that the model has great simplicity (which by the rules of modelling makes it a good model). I am one of those whose cfids appears to be at least partly caused by a reactivation of an organism (hhv6). Thinking about it, it seems that those for whom some kind of organism is a contributing factor (hhv6, mycoplasma, candida, chlamydia pneumonia, etc.), seem to do well on these whey products in general because the wheys increase intracellular glutathione thus allowing the body to mount a more successful campaign against the critters.
