Guest guest
<I've been taking vicodine (tylenol & codine) for several years, usually 3x per day. I was not aware codine is available w/o the tynenol. Knowing my Doc, he may be reluctant to switch, but I will speak to him about it. I don't think the tynenol component does much but the codine really enables me to function. for me its a no brainer, take the vicodine and function or dont take it and suffer.< Vicodin is available without the tylenol as Hycodan. Judith was right except that acetominophen is bad for the liver, and worse if you have any alcohol with it. My doc has ALL of his patients off of tylenol and aspirin. Aspirin can cause gastric bleeding. You can get fiorinol/fiorcet without aspirin/tylenol (respectively). Like you and Judith, tylenol does nothing for me either. Anyway, the Hycodan is pretty expensive but you at least have a choice. Mike
