But do NOT take l-arginine if you have a problem with any of the herpes

viruses!! L-arginine is one of the amino acids that herpes viruses use to

replicate, and it is recommende that people avoid foods high in arginine

during a herpes flare-up. Sorry, but I don't remember what all of these

foods are. Conversely, l-lysine is similar to something herpes uses to

replicate and they will try to use it to replicate and it will not work.

However, I have active hhv6 and I have taken lysine and I didn't notice it

helping. But maybe I didn't take enough, etc.
