Guest guest
>[Patti:] Mark reports on lots of PWAs with horrid T4/T8 tests, but strong NK >function that " spontaneously " go from full-blown AIDS to completely HIV >negative (even in repeated tests. Yes, his reports are fascinating and very encouraging. I read an article by Dr. Salvato (I would be glad to share it) about her AIDS work and the current state is the ability to put HIV in remission (disable the virus from replicating) and boost the immune system to normal functioning. It is not a cure but allows the person to live a full, HEALTHY life! What more can one ask for? My opinion(please don't flame me) is that HIV is EXACTLY the same PROCESS (not disease) as CFIDS - we have an immune dysfunction just a slightly different one. HIV is a more damaging virus in that the cells it infects are the lymphocytes so the immune system is rendered helpless. There are other viruses as damaging like the ebola and HHV-6A. I feel there is much to gain by reviewing solid AIDS research. If people with HIV or AIDS can live normal, healthy, productive lives, WHY CAN'T WE?!?!? I picked up an AIDS magazine while I was waiting for Dr. Salvato and I read articles about the psychological effects of switching from " What am I going to do... I'm dying from AIDS/HIV? " to " Now what am I going to do, I going to live! " . There were advertisements for long term financial planning " for the unique needs of AIDS survivors with varying health expenses " stressing that the unique part was their fluctuating medical costs NOT THAT THEY WERE SURVIVING! WOW! This hit me like a tons of bricks - they're onto something! >[Patti:] I thought about looking for an AIDS docs too, but decided against >it. These stupid docs are getting splinters from scratching their heads >trying to figure out why PWAs are dying when they have perfect T4/T8 tests!! ROFL!!! But seriously, wouldn't there be informed AIDS docs along with uninformed ones as there is in every profession? What other specialities are there that know about the complexities of the immune system? Perhaps this is not required - Dr. Salvato is Internal Medicine. I wonder what Cheney, Nicholson, Lapp, Bell, and Vojdani are? Thinking out loud here..... Marty Zavala
Guest guest
[Patti: ] OK, I'm pretty ticked off now, my mailer crashed 3 times in trying to respond to this message. Here's hoping I can answer this time without loosing everything. I've had a simply TERRIBLE time ever since onelist started appending adverts. Has anyone else? I can't format my responses anymore, I can't precede quoted bits with > anymore, and my mailer keeps crashing (never did before). I think onlist has problems with their code. Is anyone else having these problems? Yes, his reports are fascinating and very encouraging. I read an article by Dr. Salvato (I would be glad to share it) [Patti: ] Please do. My opinion(please don't flame me) is that HIV is EXACTLY the same PROCESS (not disease) as CFIDS - [Patti: ] I agree. we have an immune dysfunction just a slightly different one. HIV is a more damaging virus in that the cells it infects are the lymphocytes so the immune system is rendered helpless. There are other viruses as damaging like the ebola and HHV-6A. I feel there is much to gain by reviewing solid AIDS research. [Patti: ] There has been much pioneering in the AIDS community that we should be able to use as a scaffold at least. If people with HIV or AIDS can live normal, healthy, productive lives, WHY CAN'T WE?!?!? [Patti: ] We should, but there must be other factors. I went into a long explanation of what I think these other factors are, but since my mailer crashed 3 times and I lost all I wrote, don't have the heart to go into it again. I picked up an AIDS magazine while I was waiting for Dr. Salvato and I read articles about the psychological effects of switching from " What am I going to do... I'm dying from AIDS/HIV? Assuming you have a complete recovery, how do you get a job when you've been out of it for so long? In my job you're hopelessly out of date in 6 months. [Patti: ] Yes, its just that good ones are hard to find in this speciality too. See Nelly's experience with stupid, hard-nosed AIDS doc. I've talked to a couple others who had similar experiences with AIDS docs. Perhaps should call Mark for doc suggestions? What other specialities are there that know about the complexities of the immune system? Perhaps this is not required - [Patti: ] I got some help from a doc whose speciality was emergency medicine (of all things). Unfortunately he was so disorganized and lazy that he ceased being of help to me. Right now, my gyn is being the most helpful. She is going way outside her speciality trying to help those with CFS and FM, but she's the best I've got in Denver. Allergists SHOULD know a lot about the immune system, but they don't. I had a telephone consult with Dr. that I'm very excited about and his speciality is anti-aging medicine, and I'm going to see Dr. Donovan in the middle of the desert and he's just a good old country doc, but knows LOTS about stealth viruses. Guest guest
>From: " Skari, M " <SkariPM@...> > Perhaps >should call Mark for doc suggestions? Excellent idea. I may ask he keeps a list of " Good Doctors " . I am going to purchase his latest edition of " How to Restore Immune Dysfunction " . Has anyone read any of the editions? >I had a telephone consult with Dr. > that I'm very excited about and his speciality is anti-aging >medicine, and I'm going to see Dr. Donovan in the middle of the >desert and he's just a good old country doc, but knows LOTS about stealth >viruses. A thought came to me today - I'm sure you have thought of this already. Perhaps you can have Dr. fax you a script for the NK function which you can have done at any lab. I had another thought. Maybe Dr. can write a script for glut/atp/PROCAINE since you feel they are more effective. Worth a try! Marty Z.
Guest guest
I am going to purchase his latest edition of " How to Restore Immune Dysfunction " . Has anyone read any of the editions? [Patti:] Yes, I have Mark's book. There is not a whole lot of info more than what is collectively on his web site, but was very useful for me to take it in to one of my doctors (all the info in one book, rather than scattered throughout many newsletters). I highlighted the book and used sticky notes to draw his attention to certain areas. It was only in this manner I was able to get an NK function done, and try ATP/Glut (Mark talks about Dr. Salvato). The book also has info on how to use DNCB. A thought came to me today - I'm sure you have thought of this already.
