Carol's post explains Dr. Cheney's acid/alkaline theory. It's almost the

same thing he told me on my last visit. But when I was there, I asked

about what connection alkaline/acid foods may have to this theory. He

responded that foods don't make much difference, and that what you call

an acid or alkaline food refers to the ASH it generates.

Even if eating more alkaline ash foods (raw vegetables in particular)

doesn't help the oxygen to jump off the hemoglobin and correct the

hypoxia, I have noticed that I can completely avoid colds and their

complications by favoring the alkaline ash foods and avoiding the acid

ash (such as meats and sweets). Hope this helps to clarify the issue.

Hi,

I thought I remembered that Cheney recommended rebreathing oxygen masks for

this, and had no food suggestions?

Anyone know the answer?

Jane
