Gail, Ken and all,

It's the same old story. I'd sing it if only you could hear me!

Seriously, this fits in perfectly with what people like Nicolson, Jadin and

even Dr Montagnier (the discoverer of the AIDS virus) have been saying for a

long time, ie that the effect of viruses like AIDS or EBV are potentiated

by intracellular bacteria like mycoplasma, rickettsiae etc. Montagnier, in

spite of his undisputable reputation over the AIDS research, was ridiculed

by the medical establishment for saying that with AIDS, it was important to

look at co-infections like mycoplasmas. Prof Jadin, C Jadin's father, who

did a lot of original research on Rickettsial infections in Africa

discovered that children died much less of malaria if they were treated for

the rickettsial co-infections. In fact his motto was " Lighten the load " (on

the immune system).

So doxy might just do this. I hope it's doing this for me. I'm considering

Flagyl (metronidazole) or tinidazole in the hope of achieving even better

results. I've been greatly helped by both these drugs in the past. In fact,

I think I pbly owe my partial (60% maybe) recovery btwn 1988-1995 to having

taken these drugs quite a bit in the preceding years. I also took doxy then,

but I never really knew what I was doing then. I was taking them because I

knew I had an infection and the Flagyl was the only thing that really made a

big difference, other abxs too but not as dramatic as the Flagyl. Still not

sure what I am doing, but I think I am starting to get a bit of a notion.

I got badly bitten by ticks (about 20 ticks) in 1993, and I think I might've

re-caught something then, eventhough it took a while to get to the awful

neurological and heart sx that I now have. Not sure of anything of course

but I wanted to confirm the impression some of us have that even if they

don't fix it all certain abxs have a big part to play in " lightening the

load " . And AFAIC, might not be such a minor part.
