Esophageal spams 10 months post heller myotomy

Hi Group! You helped me through my pre op jitters. Anyone about to have

surgery I would like to say IT IS WORTH IT! In the hands of the right surgeon

you will be fine! My surgeon did it laproscopically. Made my post op much

quicker. The partial funoplication is doing its job!

I suffered for 5 years before being diagnosed as my EGD and Barium swallows were

all normal and was told (as a woman) it was anxiety based

FINALLY I Had the MANOMETRY (lovely test by the way) but again worth finding

out.

I am still " almost: symptom free at 10 months, but just recently STARTED HAVING

ESOPHAGEAL SPASMS AGAIN. Feels like a heart attack the pain even goes up my

left jaw. It wakes me up at night or early morning sometimes at bedtime usually

when I am at rest I feel the pressure grow and I know what is going to happen,

it is pretty awful.

Wondering WHAT do we do about esophageal spasms? Any, all advice most welcome.
