Question on Clear liquid diet?

My myotomy is scheduled for Tuesday 24th of August. Doctor has me on a clear

liquid diet until then, just wondering if coffee (plain black) is considered

clear liquid?? I would love to have a cup a day! does anyone know if it's okay

prior to surgery???
