Hi Group...wow so many of us had to go and go to doctors to finally have

that nasty manometry test to show WHY we could not swallow our food. I

suffered 5 years! My motilty was bad and my sphincter pressure 2x

normal. Every endoscopy or barrium swallow did not show anything. They

said since I am 55 they never thought to look for achalasia and its

rare. DRINK WATER with your meals. " Hello the water comes back out

too! " So....

They botoxed my esophageal sphincter 3x. It worked but then it stopped

working.

Off to New doc! I am 55 they never should have botoxed me, that should

be last resort! Had Heller myotomy with partial fundoplication in

October (laproscopically Dr Fabian Albany Med NY)

Thank God I have been fine but I am now finding I am having the spasms

again, not REALLY bad but they are there.

Anyone out there have a similar situation?

Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!! [:x]
