my youngest was just shy of 3 when I had my -ectomy and she's a mommies girl and

a snuggler so I just 'trained' her that if she wanted to sit on my lap, I had to

go to the couch, sit down and then she could come climb up. She was also really

funny because every day she would want to look at my incisions and she would

tell me 'when your boo-boos get all better, then you can pick me up!'

I didn't pick her up for probably 6 weeks or so post-ectomy and she really

adjusted to it just fine.
