Hi Angel,

My HM was done on June 30th by Dr. Rice at the Cleveland Clinic.  I had a

thorough check up while I was there and came out looking pretty healthy for my

66 years.  My pot smoking freaked out Rice, so he ordered lots of tests before

he agreed to to do the surgery.  Right now I seem to be healing fine with out

any symptoms except difficulty swallowing.  I hate the thought that I've gone

threw so much pain, aggravation and expense with so little result.

Where was your surgery?

     I can relate to what your saying I had my HM done on the 28th

of

june and I am still having problems I always feel full and everytime I eat I get

sick in my stomach and my stomach does spasms any ideas on what to do for

these.  My doc is telling me the same thing about it being pre-op swallowing

and

we will just need to ride it out but how long is this to take my stomach is

taking spasms and gets up set when I put food in there and it hurts like hick..

I thought thing would of been much better here to so when did you have your

surgery done?

My swallowing is about the same.  A bananna this morning went down just fine

after spitting up remnants of last nights pasta.  I have no trouble with a

protein drink.  It is very similar to pre-op swallowing, but I was hoping for a

lot better.

Rice wants me back 8 weeks post op to schedule a endoscopy, manometry, barrium

swallow and a 24hr ph study.  His terse message was that its probably the

swelling and its too soon to tell.
