Hi

I was on first Reglan to see if the stomach would empty better, then it caused

terrible side effects. Had to get Domperidone from Canada as not FDA approved,

It did not help so later found I had Achalasia.

In the US many lawsuits against Reglan and Domperidone. Domperidone is similar

to Reglan. Look up Reglan and lawsuits.

Domperidone is a drug used by new mothers to increase the volume of breast milk.

It is not approved by the FDA but is in use in other countries and has found its

way to the United States. It is not prescribed for increasing breast milk but

often for stomach problems.

Adverse Effects of Domperidone

There have been recent reports of cardiac abnormalities linked to Domperidone as

well as sudden death. Domperidone has been found in the milk of lactating

mothers, so there is a risk that the newborn children will receive Domperidone.

The effects on newborns are not yet known.

Current Status of Domperidone

The FDA has issued an advisory against the use of Domperidone for lactating

mothers. The drug is unapproved by the FDA and illegal in the United States.

If you have been given Domperidone for any reason and have suffered injuries,

you should consider consulting an experienced products liability lawyer. A

products liability attorney can help you recover damages for your injuries.

> Hi Notan

> Thank you for your information. It gives me food for thought. Here is what my

GP says ahead of my appointment in Liverpool on July 12th. He says that i either

have a problem with the slow speed of the stomach emptying so has prescribed

Domperidone to see if it helps ahead of the appointment. He also thinks that

there is a problem with Achalasia of the UES. This i know already but i need it

to be mentioned by my GP without prompting first again before the appointment in

Liverpool. Both the problem of slow speed of stomach emptying and taking

Domperidone as well as possible Achalasia of UES will be mentioned in a letter

to be faxed to the surgeon so that it will be in my medical notes ahead of the

appointment.

> As you can see i am a fighter and will not rest on my laurels so to speak

without having all the facts to hand before coming to any decision about what is

my medical future. Any more information about what i have mentioned will be

usefull.

Thanks for the information on Domperidone. I have been on it a week now at a

dose of 10mg x 3 times a day with food. It does not seem to be helping. Seeing

GP next Thursday for review of this.
