Guest guest
Hello All Notan can i ask you a question please? You are aware that i am to see a surgeon on 11th October to discuss surgery to remove my stomach after having had the ectomy done back in 2004. I have said on my previous posts that i have problems with acid reflux and i am on 3 different antacids for this alone to try and control it before review in October. Well i have read a post on the GERD Support Group that says that bile reflux can cause problems too and that if the antacid medications doesn't seam to work then there is the possability that the problem could be bile reflux and not acid reflux. Do you agree?? If this is my problem then the antacids (PPI's)could be doing me more harm and that the only option open to me to control Bile Reflux is surgery to re-route the bile ducts that drain into the small intestine instead of the stomach. If so what is it called ***** En Roux? I know i am digressing from Achalasia here but you are such a fountain of knowledge i thought that you would know a bit more about Bile Reflux and the treatment for it. Remember i have to decide either way by the appointment in October. Can you help? Or anyone else in the group please? from the UK
