WAS my mentor and was and is very important to me because he was the first ever other Achalasian that I had met. He changed the way that I perceived myself. I was no longer a person with a condition that no-one else had, a " peculiarity " . There were others out there. just normal people like . He restored me to myself. Please do me a favour Cara - If you DO get the chance to meet up with , give him a great big hug from me. Incidentally, there were many others around to support me in 2006 when I had my Hellers, including the wise and wonderful , knowledgable Notan, both Sandys, ,Maggie,Giselle, a, Jo- the list goes on..... I regularly make a point of thanking them and letting them know what a difference they have made. I think of them as my SILVER LINING family. Achalasia isn't ALL bad.
