Hello, everyone.

I wanted to post because my post Heller Myo. results are so great so far.

I didn't use anything for pain after the second day after my surgery. I was a

little sore when I had to move certain ways, but no big deal.

I don't know why anyone would be on a clear liquid diet for more than a few

days after surgery. I hated the clear liq. diet foods and barely ate because of

that. But when I got to do a liquid diet, I made myself delicious potatoe soup,

pea soup, smoothies, etc. Yummy stuff. I had plenty of appetite and room for

these foods. I had lost close to 40 pounds until this point.

I weighed myself this morning at 127 lbs. Still less than my pre surgery

weight, because I lost about 8 lbs. on the clear liquids diet. Yuck! I may never

eat jello again, and could not stand to take more than a few " bites " of it.

I have been on soft foods for a week now, and feel like I could eat a horse! I

have to make myself stop eating. I started walking one or two times a day a week

ago. That is so that I can keep the weight off, or at least a good bit of it.

I feel bad for anyone who is having trouble, but please know that some of us

do very well. Never any heartburn, No PPI's. I look so forward to eating pizza,

but my dr. would not be clear about when I could start eating like that, just

that I needed to start stuff like that slowly around week 6 as best as could

tell. I wish he would have been clearer, but he wasn't and didn't like me

getting specific about foods or when. He said that I wasn't understanding that

it's just a matter of mechanics. Whatever!

I wish I knew what device I have seen referred to here that is used in the

hospital that you breath into. I was not given anything like that and suffered

those gas pains in my shoulders for days. They were worse that the surgery pains

for me.

I am also curious as to how all of you managed needing to " use the facilities "

while in the hospital? That was my biggest problem. I was already having bladder

trouble before surgery. I had to get up off the pre op table and " go " because

they were so late in getting started. And, I made them let me get up and be

wheeled to a bathroom in the nearest waiting room while I was still in the

recovery room. They gave me a bed pan first which I was on for so, so long to no

avail. I was about to start crying because my bladder was painfully full from

all the fluids they pumped into me. When I begged them to let me go, they said

that I was suppose to be in bed for 23 hours. Once I was finally put into my

room, I had to have help many times to get to the bathroom. What did everyone

else do? Bed pans, catheters, WHAT? Again, I was already just getting over a UT

infection so I'm sure that is why I had such an awful time of that. But please

tell me what you all did when you needed to " go " while in the hospital for those

23 hours.

Anyway. I am doing great! Every meal is a blessing! Good luck to all.

And to in the UK... My family prays for you nearly every night. We

are praying that your apt. coming up brings great things your way. God bless.
