Guest guest
Reflux can cause the hoarse voice, are you taking ppi's? And if you have to keep clearing your throat because of the build up it could be the saliva isn't going down, or is building up. Have you had a barium swallow lately? I also have the saliva build up when talking more, like at a presentation or if I'm in a loud room and have to speak louder. Then it can make me cough, maybe because the saliva isn't moving down and it gets sucked a little into our airways. Maybe keep more water around, in those situations, to rinse it all down. You might use carbonated water, many stories of carbonation helping. I'd totally guess that your wrap is a little tight, or there is scarring. You might check and maybe the wrap needs to be eliminated. I know that would be surgery, but it is worth checking. If you've been going to the same doctor with the previous dialations, I'd suggest another set of doctors and a fresh view. If you can manage to get to another set of doctors, that is. What have your last barium swallow tests shown? have you had them emailed to you so you have a little history you could email to another set of doctors? It isn't too late, you can have your tests emailed to you now. For a while now i get a hoarse voice, and have to clear my thoat alot due to phlegm after eating. I was just wondering if anyone else gets this, and if they have found any ways to deal with it, because i am really fed up of it now, esspecially if i have been out with friends and had something to eat then after my voice starts going horrible > > > anyway, thanks > Vicky >
