Guest guest
Rush still love ya man:) > > > > > > I started using the New Hope soap and it seems there is junk in all my pores. I am so discouraged. I know that some would come out but this is terrible. Remember I have been using stuff that was for scabies. I had pretty big specks that were alive and moving and biting. Now they are so small you have to look at them through a magnifying glass. Have you guys had this happen. Is there anything I can do to help change my enviroment and me. Lynn is going to put me on the 3 point program. She and I ordered all that I will need for the first month. Are there any of you on this? I am sorry I am full of questions but I feel you guys know where I am coming from. I thank you for helping me. > > > > > > > > > > Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post | Start a New Topic > Messages in this topic (14) > RECENT ACTIVITY: New Members 2 > Visit Your Group > MARKETPLACE > Stay on top of your group activity without leaving the page you're on - Get the Toolbar now. > > > Get great advice about dogs and cats. Guest guest
Lynn. Panic attacks are the worst!! It makes you feel like you are going to die! They are absolutely the worst. I haven't had one for a long time but still fear that something I take may bring one on. I had to have a spinal block for a ruptured disk on Friday, and I asked the doctor to only put a small amount of the strroidin the block b/c I didn't know if it might cause anxiety. I could not take the sulphur orally. > Your message realy brings this back to me. But just know that less than a year later I am way past where you once were and you will get past this too!! I remember when I first got my anu water I was at home alone and so afraid to drink it so I called a friend and made him stay on the phone as I took tiny sips just in case it caused an attack but it didn't. Please keep in touch and let me know how you are progressing. Have you found a good doctor? One that doesn't think youare delusional? I hope so. Guest guest
Rush, have you tried valerian root for anxiety? I was reminded by a doctor this morning that Valium came originally from Valerian root and it is non addictive. I've used it for sleep off and on for years, but in general it does help anxiety. I used to suffer from panic attacks, but haven't had one for many years. Re: Discouraged RushI am there with you. I have had panic attacks all my life. Finally through herbs I have them under very good control. Very rarely have one.In Light Lynn>> Lynn. Panic attacks are the worst!! It makes you feel like you are going to die! Guest guest
You know, I have been drinking quite a bit of lemongrass tea, not only is it sedative like, but it quite a powerful diuretic helping me to detox the urinary route as well. I know it has sedative qualities, but I haven't experienced a "sedation" , but I can be very high energy sometimes. Its a more calming, or a well being type of feeling it gives me. It tastes wonderful without any sweetner of any kind. And it smells great!! We use it as an antifungal astringent in our household. And let me go on about the antifungal properties. Good stuff, and I got the idea from reading the ingredients on the back of the Garden of Life Fingal Defense we have been taking. Maybe you could give this a try to help with your panic attacks. Its not expensive, and I have a coffee pot, in which we brew tea through filters, so the powdered form isn't a problem. I bought mine at Rose Mountain Herbs, I should of bought a bigger size, I had no idea I would have gone through so much in so little time. Guest guest
Thanks linda. I haven't had one for a while now. I thinkToo much caffeine is a player in my attacks. If I get them again that is where I will go. Thx!Sent from my iPhoneOn Jun 3, 2010, at 3:36 PM, Goldstein@... wrote: Rush, have you tried valerian root for anxiety? Guest guest
I'm now 10 days out from my HM and mushy food doesn't go down. The liquid diet was fine, but mashed potatoes get stuck even if I drink lots of water. Lots of foam comes up, which I think is a result of the food being stuck at the LES. I was swallowing better before the surgery. Its a bummer. Maybe I'm expecting too much too soon. Any thoughts? Guest guest
Hi I have posted this several times. Found a medical article that FAT opens the LES amd ALSO relaxes it. I now use real BUTTER on my potatoes, toasted English muffins cut in two etc. Even had butter on chinese noodles tonight, also on rice that is cooked well. The butter makes it slip through the LES. I Use a LOT of butter!. Had my LDL recently checked (85)and it did not move from 6 months ago(77), The LDL is the important one. If it is below 130 that is normal. Of course I have a cold Coke , hot coffee or water to help get it down or sometimes an Ensure Plus. I feel so much better since I started on the butter routine. Ice cream works great for me with a chocolate cookie, Peak Freens double chocolate. Lately I get a 12 oz bottle of water, put my head back and drink the water trying to learn how to swallow again, I believe it helps! Of course I have not had an operation, my Achalasia started over 5 years ago, no dumping, very little regurgitating, NO PPI's, great bowel movements. I have each lunch Bushes Grilling brown beans mixed with beef broth, I take out the onions etc. No foam but have had it, believe it started with a glass of wine. Wine should help, but when I have it I stand up and walk around with a potato chip. It is not perfect but I can live with it.I may be getting small pockets in the E, but I try to clean it out before I go to bed. Now at near 80 my back is sore, may have to get cortizone shots, but I do walk every day. In fact my sore back is worse than the Achalasia. Guest guest
Rayme's BUTTER experience also worked for me i did get significant benefits. This healing relation supported by a study. According to that study butyric acid ' found a lot in real butter' has an ability to significant 5.6-fold increase in the proportion of c-Fos-immunoreactive neurons compared to control for intestinal mucosal neuron cells. Butyric acid induced the activation of a population of human submucosal neurons with a specific neurochemical coding.  quoted from,  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16828227  interestingly more soury butter has more butyric acid and that is more beneficial for all intestinal tract.    From: mer <ray_me_99@...> Subject: Re: Discouraged achalasia Date: Sunday, July 11, 2010, 9:44 AM  Hi I have posted this several times. Guest guest
Hi Do you have an outpatient appointment soon? I hope so as you need to talk with a member of the team that is looking after you pronto! Phone the doctors office and make an urgent appointment. You may need a dilatation but talk with the doctor first. I mean if you are having problems swallowing mushy food now well who knows. Do you have problems taking any medication? If so you most definately need to talk with a doctor. Good Luck. I had myotomy back in 2003 and it failed within a few months and had to go on and have the ectomy in 2004. from the UK ________________________________ From: Ottenheimer <hmottenheimer@...> achalasia Sent: Sun, July 11, 2010 4:59:44 AM Subject: Discouraged  I'm now 10 days out from my HM and mushy food doesn't go down. Guest guest
Good luck , I hope that the doctor is completely familiar with your entire medical history (and what a history that is!), and can think of some approach that has not been tried before. It's been way too long that you have been this way. Makes Isabella's recovery time seem like a " drop in the bucket " even though that seemed to go on forever, too. We'll all be sending good thoughts your way! ________________________________ From: Hulmes <christine.hulmes@...> achalasia Sent: Sun, July 11, 2010 5:31:36 AM Subject: Re: Discouraged  Hi Do you have an outpatient appointment soon? Guest guest
Sorry for all the typos. My iPad has a crazy autocorrect. I didn't mean to type cowpoke. I meant couple of days!!
Guest guest
, I just got back from Cleveland yesterday. Had all my testing done on Friday. I did not get to consult with dr. Rice after the testing but we did speak early in the morning before the testing. We looked at barium x-rays that I brought with me. I have a 10.5cm esophagus at it's largest point and it makes about a 90 degree turn to the left at the bottom where it meets my stomach. I am not fighting gravity to get food down so he was optimistic that a myotomy would save my esophagus from removal. However, I swallow so well right now. I have no issues or symptoms of this horrific disease. I feel lucky. I am not so sure a myotomy will improve much for me. And now reading your posts, it makes me feel discouraged that a myotomy may not work as well as intended. My next step after myotomy would be ectomy and I would like to prolong that surgery for as long as I can. So if a myotomy is going to speed up my road to an ectomy, I would rather do nothing and wait till I have symptoms. How bad were your symptom s before you had the myotomy with dr. Rice? What were you able to eat? Were you aspirating or regurgitating anything? Cara
