Guest guest
Hello everyone, It's very nice to see that this group exists. My younger brother, aged 20, has been diagnosed with achalasia. He lives with me. He has seen doctors, and has been recommended to get surgery. He has said he wants this surgery, but he seems reluctant to have a second endoscopy done because the first time was very painful. The reason his doctor wants it done again is to be " absolutely sure " that achalasia is indeed the correct diagnosis. Some of my family members think that I should, essentially, force him to go to the doctor and get this surgery. This does not seem like a very good, even if it might be " effective " by some measures. I am very concerned for his health should he continue without having the procedure that his doctors recommend done, but I am not really sure what to do. Any ideas much appreciated, take care Josh
