Guest guest
Glad you are out so quickly and recovering well. I had heard that rice's bedside manner isn't the greatest but arrogant, egotistical and demeaning? That sound downright horrible. I am going to see him on the 9 th of this month for all the tests and an opinion. He is probably going to recommend an ectomy but if he treats me condescendingly while also telling me I need drastic surgery, I will cry. I know a lot about this disease. I have done a lot of research. I don't want to be treated like an idiot. Is there a certain approach I should take with him to make my experience better? Guest guest
- glad to hear you're doing okay. I had my surgery in late April, and I was out of the hospital the evening of the next day. I didn't have to do a liquid diet, I was on soft foods for a month (mashed potatoes and milkshakes aren't the worst things in the world). Like you, I didn't have any pain - just felt sore for a few days, and had nothing stronger than liquid Tylenol for a few days. I was able to go back to work (an office job) by day 6, so it was a pretty easy experience, all things considered. Mike
