Guest guest
: One of the things they should have been able to tell from your incomplete manometry was whether or not you still have peristalsis in your esophagus. I have a tight LES that frequently closes altogether while I'm eating, but my manometry showed that I still have peristalsis. This means that my swallowing problems have not progressed...if I pause for a while, the peristalsis will eventually open the LES and the food goes down. If your manometry test shows no peristalsis, I think it's a pretty good indication that you have full-blown achalasia. Lee in NJ
