It occurs to me that it has been a long time since there has been a plethora of

polls in this group.  A number of years ago, polls were the norm.  With a rare

disorder such as Achalasia, there is a very good chance that discovery of the

cause of Achalasia are right here within our group of people.

For a long time people would make polls looking for the common thread that runs

in all Achalasians. At that time the numbers in this group was at or under 1000

people, just a few years ago.

Today the numbers are well over 2000.  There are so many highly intelligent,

motivated people in this group.   I would like to challenge you to help this

group find a cause of Achalasia.. It will be up to the people in this group or

study groups to find the commonality of this disorder.

Achalasia is too rare for Rare Disorder Studies.  There just aren't enough

people who have it to warrant having a full blown study.  When you go to a

SPECIALIST, chances are good he will document the recommendations and result of

each case.  These are the statistics you read.

So I challenge you... lets start the polls again, and help ourselves FIND THE

CAUSE of Achalasia...

Make a poll..
