Guest guest
> I have been doing really well this week... just cruising along watching my portions and mentally calculating what I'm eating.. Keep up the good work, and remember, even baby steps will eventually get you where you're going. Sue in NJ
Guest guest
Hi I just thought that I would let some of you know a little update on me. After failing two endoscopies last year (1st one I was in such a deep sleep I wouldn't co-operate 2nd time round even though being on epam for 24 hours I still fought the camera so the doctor gave up) My surgeon has agreed to carry out a barium x ray on Wednesday 29th April and in future its now on my records that IF and endoscopy is needed it WILL be done under a General Ansathetic. I have been dealing with more acid reflux lately but my Omezprazole has been increased (from 20mg a day to 40mg) and so far no more acid reflux. Guest guest
Pippa Are you sleeping on an eveluated bed 6 inches at least and on several pillows so you should be elevated about 12 inches? After I started this a year ago I threw my NEXIUM out the window, I believe that Nexium combined with GERD caused my ACHALASIA!!!!! Now never have a problem with GERD and I have NOT had an operation! rayme CA OC 78 > > Hi > > I just thought that I would let some of you know a little update on me. > > After failing two endoscopies last year (1st one I was in such a deep sleep I wouldn't co-operate 2nd time round even though being on epam for 24 hours I still fought the camera so the doctor gave up) > > My surgeon has agreed to carry out a barium x ray on Wednesday 29th April and in future its now on my records that IF and endoscopy is needed it WILL be done under a General Ansathetic. > > I have been dealing with more acid reflux lately but my Omezprazole has been increased (from 20mg a day to 40mg) and so far no more acid reflux. > > Pippa >
Guest guest
Hi my little friend, You know that I will be thinking about you on Wednesday at 4pm. I am relieved that you do not have to have an endoscopy at this stage. My own surgeon has told me that these tests carry their own degree of risk anyway and should not be performed unnecessarily. The increase in meds will probably sort out the reflux problem and allow any inflammation in the gullet to heal. If you had an ulcer, for instance, this would be the way that it would be treated anyway.
