Guest guest Posted March 16, 2009 Report Share Posted March 16, 2009 Hi All Does anyone have such large bile leaks from their J-Tube stomas that they have to change their dressings 15 to 20 times a day???? I have recently spent 2 weeks in hospital with my GI doc and he can't figure out why such large amounts of bile leak out of the stoma. I have had an Ultrasound scan and various blood tests but all looks normal to them. They have consulted with General Surgeons and have decided to referre me to a specialist hospital under the care of a Professor in Gastroenterology based at Hope Hospital/Salford Royal Hospital in Manchester UK. Let's hope that they can figure out what is going on as I find myself virtually housebound now as I have to change my stoma dressings so often. At least the GI doc's and nursing staff have seen the extent of the problem now. I would welcome any advice from anyone who has had or having such extreme bile leaks as me.
