Guest guest
It's been almost a year since my surgery and I think I'm heading for another. I eat anything and I cough so hard I through everything up. So I have an appt. for May 15 to see the surgeon again. I don't really want to go through this again, but it's better than not being able to eat solids. I just hope I don't have to have an esophogectomy. It's been a while since I've been on the site, but I know the people here are very supportive. I look forward to your responses.
Guest guest
Hi , I remember that you are in very good shape . . . run etc. I also run/walk/pant (lol) at least 7 km every day with my Siberian Husky, Nanook. I had my esophagectomy on October 1st, 2007. I am not in top notch shape, but I'm getting there. I haven't had any problems with coughing, but I do have shortness of breath which is supposed to eventually go away. My Doctor said no sit-ups, no weights. Just walking and a light jog. I bought the really light 3 lb hand weights that I use while watching TV, but I haven't gone near my punching bag or ceiling bar for chin-ups. It's tough, so I know May 15th can't come soon enough for you. If you want to chat, my MSN is _40@... and my phone number is 1-807-768-8945. I am in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Good Luck. achalasia From: jamiemcrae33@...Date: Fri, 18 Apr 2008 04:06:04 +0000Subject: Almost a year after Open Heller It's been almost a year since my surgery and I think I'm heading for another.I eat anything and I cough so hard I through everything up.
