Guest guest
Hi, a, You sound as if you've got Achalasia, all right. I've had dizziness, too, and I usually get it after I've aspirated saliva or some soda, etc. You know when you need to go to the emergency room, and you probably have someone whom you could call if you needed a ride there, too, but, in the mean time, it's a real bummer to have to spit up that darned foam and bits of stuff, isn't it? I get going sometimes with coughing and sputtering so that liquid comes out of my eyes, too. Charming, and ever so attractive! Yuck! But, to people who don't understand what we've got, when we cough and have this particular problem, we're just coughing and maybe we're getting a flu or cold bug. But, we know what's going on and it can be scary, painful and upsetting. I hope you can get some rest from this stuff and I would like to add that I have very few symptoms of Achalasia since my Heller's Myotomy in January of 2006. When I get stressed out, it gets tight in my chest, and then I have swallowing problems. I'm getting better, therefore!, by reminding myself to STEP BACK and take a breath whenever the going gets rough, and that usually helps a lot.
