Guest guest
Isabella, Understandably this news made you upset. You need to take a step back and try not to worry about it. When you speak with your doctor on Jan. 10th, discuss this with him. I think in a lot of cases the hospital scheduling people don't know the ins and outs of each case, so they just blurt out some generic answer to everyone that calls. While it's true his waiting list may have grown, he also knows which cases need to take priority, and I'm sure yours is one of them. Again, you can have this conversation with him in a few weeks. Until then, consider it just a bump in the road and have faith that it will all fall into place. Not sure if you remember or not, but about a week and a half prior to my 'ectomy, my insurance company suddenly told me nothing would be covered, when previously they had said it would be. I freaked out!!! As it turned out, there was a miscommunication and some approval paperwork was sent to the wrong regional medical director in error. Once they got it to the right person, it was approved and all set. Once it was in place, everything returned to normal and we were set to go with surgery. So, my point is, sometimes these things happen. Until you speak directly with your doctor, I wouldn't put too much energy into worrying about it. Hang in there! Guest guest
Hey Isabella - I agree with , I'm sure once you speak with the surgeon, he'll be able to do something to get you scheduled sooner. Hang in there, I know how right now - any changes can throw you off. I'm sure you'll have more answers after Jan. 10th. Relax and enjoy your holidays. - in NC 28 days, but who's counting?? > > Hi guys, > > You really aren't going to believe this. Guest guest
Hi and , Yes, you are right I guess, I just need to wait untill January 10th and discuss it with the Professor. I just need to be patient here (again) and wait and see. At the moment I am really enjoying the December month with the family (we have some extra holidays, due to Sinterklaas tradition) and I won't have this spoiled by this bump in the road. I will keep in mind that I have one big certainty: the surgery will be done in 2008 and the surgery is the best possible thing for me to do. Let's just keep fingers crossed for January 10th and hope he'll be able to perform the surgery in March/April as planned. Love, Isabella Re: You're not going to believe this...
