TGIF Dawn, As long as you don't over do it with the Immodium he should be fine. I'm constantly reminding to not take more than the recommended dosage in a days time. I don't know about the laying down gravity thing, we thankfully have not had to go there. Everyone is sooooo different with this disease, it's a learning experience for us all everyday. went so well, I was hoping the problems were over, only to have this emerge. The Immodium does seem to help, but then -he worries over constipation! I read some recommendations from a Google search; cutting out sugar is possible, but he is still losing weight and was counting on all that sugar to help him gain. Other suggestions, such as not drinking during meals would not seem to work well with achalasians.
