Guest guest
http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/surgery/faculty/Sherwood Above is his bio from Hopkins, sounds like good background. The link below is some info I found on him on entrez pub med. I didn't dig really deep, his initials are jt, just search sherwood jt and his articles come up. Interestingly he has somewhat a similar background as my surgeon, lung and esophageal specialities. Looks like he just left the other hospital. I don't remember hearing his name, the new hospital doesn't have a physicians' directory. (irritating?) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez Now that I look at the link, it doesn't look like it brought up his name, but this link will get you there. Also type in the search area Washington and see if the hospital has specialized in esophageal disorders before. Ask him why he came there. I see that he does VATS surgery for lungs, in my never ending search to find out why VATS isn't used so much for HM, ask him why. He looks experienced in both lap and vats. I know the basic reasons, but many of those reasons come from doctors that aren't well known for their VATS expertise, so I'm curious what another doctor thinks about VATS for HM if they are skilled and up to date on both. I'd also ask if the other personnel are skilled at achalasia, since he is new and I'm guessing bringing new status to the hospital. You would want to know if the radiologists and anesthesiologists are familiar with achalasia, as well as the manometry person, and do they have the video manometry thing (which wasn't around when I did mine, another sign of age). Of course he will say yes, but probe if that hospital has done much with us before. Sandy in So Cal... beautiful day here, but my kids seem to have early onset hormonal mood swings, more that I can deal with in addition to my mood swings. Sometimes they run into each other, (the mood swings and the kids). I should be the only one allowed mood swings?>> Curious if anyone has ever heard of or has personal experience with Dr. > Tim Sherwood?
