Guest guest
There have been lots of good ideas thrown out and I'm going to add one more. This doctor did Stefans 1st myo only 4 years ago - ask him why he needs another so soon and WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO DIFFERENTLY THIS TIME?? If he's just going to do the same thing - why would you expect different results? In your health system, can you get 2nd opinions? GET ONE. If Stefan is willing, you should go with him on all of his appointments (my mom went with me when I was 20) because if the doctors intimidate you - they may really intimidate Stefan and you cannot afford to have another surgery without expecting some kind of better outcome!! Doctors should NEVER be against you asking questions or getting a 2nd opinion - they should encourage it. You have to help Stefan learn to be an advocate for himself. He needs to know how - and be willing to - ask, ask, ask. good luck and keep us posted. Happy Swallowing! - in NC
