Hi Reene

I am one of the UK members my surgeon was based at Kettering General

In Northamptonshire and I had my open Heller Myotomy in September

2006 and am doing very well. At the begining of this month I had an

endoscopy and was given the best report I could have wished for that

all was normal.

I don't know of anyone that has had their surgery at that particular

hospital but that doesn't mean that Mr Berrisford is not a great

surgeon his name does ring a bell but not sure why maybe he performs

surgery in other hospitals too.

I know just how worried is I was in the same position myself

this time last year. The hospital staff sound very confident that

it will be a breeze and I am sure that the surgery will go well.

I know what you mean about getting a date for surgery very quickly

with the NHS waiting list mine was pretty quick too think I waited

about 3 weeks!!!

Keep in touch wishing you and all the best for his up and

coming surgery
